Both of these requirements for construction workplaces and their employees will take effect by the summer of 2014. This seminar is provided for free, but space is limited, so get your RSVP in to secure a spot!

Mandatory Basic Health and Safety Awareness Training!

This new training requirement was a key recommendation of the Expert Advisory Panel on Occupational Health and Safety, led by Tony Dean in 2010. The Ministry of Labour Prevention Office will be providing seminar attendees with details of their responsibilities under this new regulation, which becomes mandatory as of
 July 1, 2014.

Working-at-Heights Training Standard!

This new training standard was designed to ensure that all working-at-heights training is consistent across the province and industry sectors. It is currently voluntary and applies to workplaces in the construction sector, as well as to construction activity in other workplaces.

The standard is expected to become mandatory by the summer of 2014, once the training provider standard details have been finalized, and later will be expanded to all sectors. Our seminar will focus both on the requirements of the training standard and a discussion of the proposed training provider standard.
