Toronto (Jan. 17, 2019) – The Progressive Contractors Association of Canada (PCA) is commending the Ford government for reducing college and university tuition fees by ten percent across Ontario.
“Every year, PCA surveys our members about the top challenges facing their businesses. And every year, finding top talent is ranked number one on the list. The Ford government has taken a significant step to help construction employers find and develop the talent they need to grow their businesses while making the training needed for rewarding careers in the construction industry more accessible to thousands of students,” said Sean Reid, Vice President and Regional Director, Ontario, for PCA. “Today’s announcement will help reduce financial barriers to construction careers that are in high demand, including construction supervisors, engineers and project managers. We applaud the Ford government for taking another important step to grow Ontario’s skilled workforce, create jobs and strengthen our economy.”
