Edmonton, Jan. 11, 2017 – A leading association of Canadian construction contractors is delighted Kinder Morgan Canada’s Trans Mountain Expansion Project has received the support and approval of the B.C. government.
“We’re pleased that this project has met all of the B.C. government’s conditions,” said Paul de Jong, President of the Progressive Contractors Association of Canada. “The sooner this expansion project begins, the sooner our communities, our workers, the province and all Canadians will benefit.”
Earlier this year, PCA launched the “Let’s Build It” campaign aimed at raising awareness about the importance of getting some of Canada’s largest infrastructure projects built, including the Trans Mountain Expansion Project.
“We strongly believe that Canada has the expertise to build pipelines in a safe, responsible way,” added de Jong. “Today’s government endorsement is confirmation that the Trans Mountain Expansion Project can deliver on safety and economic benefits.”
