The big news in Saskatchewan is that the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board issued CLAC Construction Workers Local 151 its first certificate in twenty years. This decision is a major progressive step for construction in the province, finally allowing PCA workers to associate with a union of their choice rather than being faced with an outdated “choice” of non-union or building trades. This decision moves PCA’s profile into full maturity, allowing us and our labour partners to move our progressive approach forward.
It is encouraging—especially when looking back over the past decade—to note the progress made by PCA’s unique and resonating approach to labour and construction in this country. Saskatchewan is a clear example that progressive contractors are on the cutting edge of Canada’s construction industry.
